  From Japan to Europe. Beautiful and Useful Objects

  The exhibition titled "Long Live Art! Feliks Jasieński's Collection. From Japan to Europe. Beautiful and Useful Objects", displayed in the Szołayski House, features a wide selection of exhibits from the priceless collection of Feliks "Manggha" Jasieński. We present the person of the prominent Krakow collector, patriot, art patron and a friend of the artists – masters from the Young Poland movement. Not only can the visitors admire paintings, sculptures and prints, but they can also see ceramics, textiles, furniture and militaria from that period.

You are kindly invited to the promotion of the first volume of the monumental publication titled "The Corpus of Feliks Jasieński's Donation". During the meeting with its author, Agnieszka Kluczewska-Wójcik, the visitors will be able to purchase the catalogue for a special price of 85 pln. The event will be moderated by Marta Bosak.

  Witkacy's pure form in 'Atma'

  Pure Form is an art concept coined by Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz, which encompasses all arts, including music. In painting, it involved a formal experiment, which resulted in a series of oil paintings created in the early 1920s.

A book by Światosław Lenartowicz, a curator from the National Museum in Krakow, received an honorary mention in the Most Beautiful Book of 2014 competition.

On 30 May, the Museum invites all children and their parents to take part in a live action role-playing game which will feature both ordinary and unusual Cracovians from gallery portraits and Krakow buildings.

Ottomania. The Ottoman Orient in Renaissance Art

Dürer, Memling, Bellini, Tintoretto, Veronese. Works of these great artists, who enjoyed great popularity with the audience, were on display in Krakow from 26 June to 27 September 2015 thanks to a unique exhibition titled Ottomania. The Ottoman Orient in the Art of Renaissance, prepared by the National Museum in Krakow in collaboration with Palais des Beaux-Arts (BOZAR) in Brussels.
