  'Monuments of Polish History. Chronicles and Historiography in Old Prints from the Collection of the National Museum in Krakow'.
  
  The National Museum in Krakow would like to invite the public to another fascinating exhibition – a journey through the history of Poland, in which the most valuable and beautiful old prints: old Polish chronicles, galleries of portraits of rulers, armorials and maps will act as guides.

  WE DIFFER IN FAITH. PROOFS OF MULTI-RELIGIOUS COEXISTENCE IN THE FIRST POLISH REPUBLIC IN OLD PRINTS FROM THE COLLECTION OF THE NATIONAL MUSEUM IN KRAKOW.

The Czapski Museum - Facilities for disabled

Lift, accessible restrooms, ramps, wide doors, walkways, stair climber, aluminium rails at the entrance stairs – however, the branch is hardly accessible to wheelchairs – necessary consultations, installation of a doorbell for the disabled, purchase of rails, staff training.

THE EUROPEAN CENTRE FOR POLISH NUMISMATICS

The National Museum in Krakow is in possession of a collection of 100,000 pieces that is priceless on a European scale. It includes the world’s best collection of Polish numismatics; its core is the 11,000-piece collection of the famous numismatist and collector of historical memorabilia Count Emeryk Hutten-Czapski (1828-1896).

  The Numismatic Room

  The Numismatic Room was established in 1883. The initially modest collection expanded mainly thanks to the generosity of private benefactors such as Henryk Bukowski. The 1903 donation of Emeryk Hutten-Czapski's collection resulted in a radical change in the rank of the Room, which became the repository of the most representative collection of Polish coins, medals and banknotes, featuring a number of unique objects (e.g. Bolesław Chrobry's GNEZDVN CIVITAS denarius or Władysław Łokietek's ducat).

  Bloody Mars. Military old prints in the collections of the National Museum in Krakow

  The exhibition includes more than 80 objects created from the sixteenth to the eighteenth century, selected from the collection of approximately 36,000 old prints and cartographic objects located in the National Museum in Krakow. The priceless items are exhibited in the Czapski Palace, in the nineteenth-century private library being one of the few libraries preserved with all the equipment.
