  In Black and White - 200 Years of Drawing at the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts

  Exhibition In Black and White - 200 Years of Drawing at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, celebrates the two-hundredth anniversary of establishing the oldest school of art in our country that was held last year. The exhibition will show almost 170 drawings, from the collections of the National Museum in Krakow, the Academy of Fine Arts and from private collections.

  Sobieski in Jan Matejko's Częstochowa. Around the Figure and Painting

  Exhibition "Sobieski in Jan Matejko's Częstochowa. Around the character and Painting" in the Jan Matejko House commemorates the 180th birth anniversary and the 125th death anniversary of one of the greatest Polish artists, the representative of historical painting. The creators of the exhibition stress Matejko's interest in the figure of the "Last Knight of Christianity".

  The Master and Catherine. Hans Suess von Kulmbach and his works for Krakow

  The early Renaissance period master, Hans Suess von Kulmbach, was one of the most outstanding artists working in Albrecht Dürer's circle – a renowned painter, printmaker, illuminator and stained glass window designer. In spite of this, little is known about his life, or whether or not he visited the Royal Town while executing commissions for Krakow.

  Jan Matejko. Anniversary – 2018 anniversaries Common bookplates

  At the exhibition, we present 78 bookplates of 26 authors, both Polish and foreign, sent in response to Internet invitation. The works are made with different techniques. They refer to Matejko, his anniversaries and motifs from his canvases.
