Weekend with the exhibition 'FASHIONable in Communist Poland'
5 MARCH
4 p.m. – screening of a film by Judyta Fibiger 'Political Dress' about fashion in communist Poland.
- meeting with the director of the film and the curator of the exhibition
- discussion about fashion in communist Poland – moderated by Katarzyna Bik
6.30 p.m. – fashion show: a fashion show on the red carpet in our hall featuring 20 top entries in the competition for the best stylized wear inspired by communist Poland.
Jury: Judyta Fibiger, Halina Zawadzka – Hexeline owner, fashion designer, Joanna Regina Kowalska – curator of the exhibition 'FASHIONable in Communist Poland', Jerzy Antkowiak, Rafał Stanowski.
The event will accompany the exhibition titled 'FASHIONable in Communist Poland' which will be on display in the Main Building of the National Museum in Krakow until 17 April 2016.

Women's Day in the style of communist Poland. Gifts for ladies: tickets for women (at any age, any size...) will be accompanied by red carnations and bracelets courtesy of Galeria Krakowska.
11.00 a.m. – 2 p.m. - Lining up for Art! – we'd like to invite little ladies (aged 4-7) to join the workshops from our series 'Museum Hobby Horse'.
2 p.m. – screening of 'Beats of Freedom' – a film about music in communist Poland
On 5-6 March, thanks to the cooperation with the Municipal Transport Company in Krakow, the square in front of the Main Building of our Museum will feature a special treat for the NMK visitors – a historic red bus nicknamed 'cucumber', the symbol of the communist period in Poland.
