Biographies:
Huang Yaqian has been learning piano systematically since the age of five. In September 2014, she went to the United States to study at the Kansas University School of Music under Professor Michael Kirkendoll. In 2016, she began studying at the Latvian Academy of Music, where she studied piano performance for four years under Professor Juris Zvikovs. In 2021, she was admitted to the master's program in piano performance at the Zurich University of the Arts in Switzerland, where she studied under the renowned Swiss pianist and educator Hans-Jürg Strub. She successfully graduated with a master's degree in July 2023. In October of the same year, she began studying at the Academy of Music in Krakow under Professor Gajusz Keska.
Luca Faldelli, born in 1998, completed his master's studies in piano at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow, studying under Professor Andrzej Pikul. He further honed his skills at the Agostino Steffani Conservatory, achieving an impressive first-class honors score of 110 cum laude under Maestro Massimiliano Ferrati. His academic journey continued at the E.F. Dall'Abaco Conservatory in Verona, where he graduated in 2019 with first-class honors cum laude under Maestro Edoardo Maria Strabbioli. He has been invited to perform at prestigious concert series and festivals such as the International Piano Festival of Treviso, Pordenone Piano City, Portogruaro International Music Festival, Trieste "Visioni" Festival, Young Artists Piano Solo Series of the Roma Tre Orchestra, and Rime Mute in Udine. These opportunities have led him to perform in renowned venues such as Teatro Ristori in Verona, Teatro Zandonai in Rovereto, Auditorium Stefanini in Treviso, Villa Correr Agazzi in San Stino di Livenza, Aula Magna of the University of Roma Tre Orchestra, Auditorium Museum Revoltella in Trieste, Academic Theater of Castelfranco Veneto, and the Florianka Recital Hall in Krakow. In 2024, he released an album entirely dedicated to the music of Sergei Lyapunov with the music company Da Vinci Classic.
Mariia Yakymenko is a pianist born in 2005, who graduated from the Kharkiv State Music Lyceum under the guidance of Olga Suchobrusova. She came to Poland in March 2022. Currently, she is a second-year student at the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź, in the piano class of Dr. Wojciech Kubica, Prof. AM. She performs as a soloist and chamber musician. She has extensive concert experience, having participated in events such as the piano recital in the "Young Talents" concert series at the Fryderyk Chopin Museum, the "Young Performers Concert" during the "9th Polish Flute Meeting," and a masterclass under Michał Szymanowski as part of the "Young Educators Forum." She has taken part in many prestigious instrumental competitions in Poland and across Europe, including the ChopinPlus 2024, Orbetello Piano Competition in Italy 2024, and the Ilya Slatin International Young Musicians Competition in Kharkiv (2022). She has a strong affinity for the repertoire of Chopin, Prokofiev, and Barwiński. In her music, she shares her emotions and strives to reach every listener, telling her own story through her performances.
