Biography:
The Cracow Harp Quintet is composed of graduates from Europe's top music schools – flutist Magdalena Di Blasi, harpist Adrian Nowak, violinist Barbara Mglej, violist Jan Czyżewski, and cellist Paweł Czarakcziew. United by a common initiative, the quintet shares their passion through concerts both in Poland and abroad, achieving success in international competitions (second prize at the VII Iberian Contest of Chamber Music with Harp in Madrid in 2019). The Cracow Harp Quintet, as the only professional chamber ensemble in Poland with this unique composition, promotes chamber music created for the legendary Quintette Instrumental de Paris. The ensemble is characterized by the soft interpretation of French music (quote: Isabelle Perrin) and the fullness and variety of sound comparable to a symphony orchestra (quote: Margit Anna Suss). The group's repertoire mainly includes works from the late 19th and first half of the 20th century, particularly French impressionism. In addition to compositions by Roussel, Cras, and Tournier, their program features works by Polish composers such as Aleksander Tansman. Constantly expanding their repertoire, they create their own arrangements of chamber and orchestral pieces and engage in projects beyond classical music. Their debut album "Hommage," released in May 2022 by DUX, showcases their talent.
