Galleries in the Sukiennice closed on 16 -17 September

From 16 to 17 September, the Gallery of 19th-Century Polish Art in the Sukiennice will be closed to the public in connection with the ICOMAM and ICDAD international congress which will be held at that time.

The Sukiennice Gallery - Facilities for disabled

The lift is equipped with Braille buttons and voice control. No doorsteps or barriers. Additional cloakroom for the mobility impaired equipped e.g. with luggage lockers. The restroom is fully adapted to the needs of people with different disabilities. Handles and buttons are easy to use even for those suffering from hand spasticity. The stairs to the restroom are equipped with aluminium ramps so that it is fully accessible.

THE NEW SUKIENNICE

The Gallery of 19th Century Polish Art in the Sukiennice closed for renovation on 31 August 2006. Its restoration and modernization were one of the biggest conservation investments in Europe, at a total cost of PLN 8,733,610.
