Open Day of the Krakow Museums 2016
On the penultimate Sunday of November, you are all invited to visit the temporary and permanent galleries of the National Museum of Krakow free of charge, along with the accompanying displays, concerts, guided tours and meetings with the employees of our Museum.

All branches of the National Museum in Krakow will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

- 12 p.m. – 'Sacrosphere' concert European Centre for Music Foundation, the Virtues Room, first floor; Krzysztof Klima's composition in form of a dialogue with Johann Sebastian Bach, Olivier Messiaen and Bogusław Schaeffer, consisting of three parts: I. Lamentation, II. Temple, III. Wordless Prayer - 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. - visit to the outer courtyard and lapidarium.
This place, normally inaccessible, will take us back in time to the Renaissance.

- A display of new museum acquisitions in the Jan Matejko House, third floor

Biographical museum of Józef Mehoffer
- Display of new acquisitions obtained by the NMK as part of the programme 'Masterpieces of Józef Mehoffer's Stained-Glass Art' – drawing studies for the Fribourg stained-glass works and the 'Caritas' stained-glass window, first floor*
- Accompanying event:
- 3 p.m. – Jadwiga Mehoffer's Sheet Music. Piano Recital by Maria Słysz who will play pieces referring to the tradition of musical gatherings which took place in the artist's home. The recital will be accompanied by a display of sheet music from Jadwiga Mehoffer's collection.
