Last days of the 'Maria Mater Misericordiae' exhibition

During the last two weekends of the exhibition (1-2 Oct and 8-9 Nov), the opening hours of the exhibition will be extended. Visitors are invited to partake of additional guided tours and enjoy the concert.

The finissage of the exhibition, planned for the first two weekends of October, will include special accompanying events.

On two successive Saturdays (1 and 8 October) and Sundays (2 and 9 October), the opening hours of the exhibition 'Maria Mater Misericordiae' will be extended, making it open for the public from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.


To mark the closing of the exhibition, on 2 October at 6 p.m., the Gallery of 19th-Century Polish Art in the Sukiennice will host a concert of SINFONIETTA CRACOVIA – Orchestra of the Royal Capital City of Krakow.

The programme will feature:

  • Johann Sebastian Bach – Air on the G String from Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D major, BWV 1068
  • Johann Sebastian Bach – Orchestral Suite No. 2 in B minor BWV 1067
  • Henryk Mikolaj Górecki – Three Pieces in Old Style
  • Krzysztof Penderecki – Chaconne in memoria del Giovanni Paolo II from the Polish Requiem

Walter Auer – a prominent Austrian flutist, soloist of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra & Vienna State Opera.
