Italy and Poland: a common history

"Did you know that Italy and Poland are the only two nations in the world that mention each other in their national anthems?

The National Museum of Krakow welcomes you to a series of events conceived and designed for the Italian public.

During our guided tours we will discover many stories and curiosities that connect Italy and Poland from the Renaissance to the present day. We will take you to Gallery of The 19th-Century Polish Art in the Cloth Hall and at the Museum of the Czartoryski Princes.

An unmissable journey, dedicated to the discovery of two of the most evocative museums in the city of Krakow, during which it will be possible to admire magnificent paintings of the history of Polish and European art, from the works of Jan Matejko, to Rembrandt, to Siemiradzki, up to culminating in front of one of the greatest Renaissance masterpieces: the Lady with an Ermine by Leonardo da Vinci, part of the Czartoryski collection.

The tours, held in Italian, will be divided into two dates, one for each museum, lasting two hours each:

- Sunday 14th November at 2.00 pm, visit to Gallery of The 19th-Century Polish Art the Sukiennice (The Cloth Hall), Rynek Główny 3;

- Sunday 12th December at 2,00 pm, visit to the Museum of the Czartoryski Princes, ul. Pijarska 15.

The cost of the ticket including the guided tour is 15 zloty.

First tour will begin at the entrance to the National Museum of Krakow at the Cloth Hall.

The number of places is limited.

Attention! Participants are required to wear a mask to cover their nose and mouth for the duration of the tour; it will also be necessary to disinfect hands before entering the museum and keep a safe distance from other participants.

Il Museo Nazionale di Cracovia vi dà il benvenuto in una serie di eventi ideati e pensati per il pubblico italiano.

Durante i nostri tour guidati andremo alla scoperta di tantissime storie e curiosità che connettono Italia e Polonia dal Rinascimento fino ai giorni nostri. Vi condurremo nella galleria d’arte moderna polacca nel Palazzo dei Tessuti e nel Museo dei Principi Czartoryski.

Un viaggio imperdibile, all’insegna della scoperta di due dei musei più suggestivi della città di Cracovia, durante il quale sarà possibile ammirare magnifici dipinti della storia dell’arte polacca e europea, dalle opere di Jan Matejko, a Rembrandt, a Siemiradzki, fino a culminare di fronte uno dei più grandi capolavori del Rinascimento: la Dama con l’Ermellino di Leonardo da Vinci, parte della collezione Czartoryski.

I tour, tenuti in lingua italiana, saranno divisi in due date, una per museo, della durata di due ore ciascuno:

- Domenica 14 Novembre alle ore 14.00, visita alla Galleria d’Arte Polacca del XIX al Palazzo dei Tessuti, in Rynek Główny 3;

- Domenica 12 Dicembre alle ore 14.00, visita al Museo dei Principi Czartoryski, in via Pijarska 15.

Il costo del biglietto comprensivo della visita guidata è di 15 zloty.

Il tour inizierà all’ingresso del Museo Nazionale di Cracovia al Palazzo dei Tessuti. Si prega di acquistare il biglietto in anticipo presso la biglietteria.
