With his acceptance of the faith, Mieczyslaw the First planted a cross on the Polanian soil. At sunrise, the shadow line was ploughed by the Benedictines, marking a sacred line for the house of God to stand on.
An aged bagpiper, tearfully looks at the wood material gathered from the nearby oak forest, in which an old Slavic gontyna shrine is dying. His thoughts seem to be shared by a young warrior, armed with a bow and quiver, escaping with a stone fragment of a fallen idol into the forests of Pomerania or the Prussian forests.
St Adalbert performs the act of baptism in the presence of Dąbrowa and Bohemian emissaries of Boleslav, in the presence of the first Bishop of Poznan, Jordan.
On the waters of Lednickie Lake, fishing boats await: they will carry the sainted Apostle of Poland to the shores of the Baltic Sea, where he will be martyred.
