The paint box, made of light wood, has the form of a rectangular case. Two metal hinges on the back allow it to open, while metal clasps at the front secure it closed. At the center of the front edge is a metal handle for carrying. The inside of the lid shows faint horizontal cracks in the wood.

The interior is divided into compartments. A horizontal section at the top holds paintbrushes, while three vertical partitions below contain small tubes of paint. The interior bears clear traces of use, with visible paint stains.

The set consists of five wooden palettes, each rectangular with a circular thumb hole near the bottom. Four are damaged: one has a broken upper-left corner, another has chipped rounded edges, and a third has been cut at a slight angle. All four show heavy paint stains.

The fifth palette is preserved in good condition. Made of dark wood, it is largely clean, with only a small abrasion visible in the upper right corner.
