We believe that museum education is a bridge that connects the artist and the audience, the past and the present, as well as the cultural institution and its visitors.

Recognizing how important it is to integrate the aesthetic pleasure of communing with art and the satisfaction derived from learning about technique and interpretation, the Education Department of the National Museum in Krakow develops programmes aimed at art professionals and art lovers alike.

We work in teams to create a range of educational resources for different audiences (schools and teachers, adults, students, families and children, groups at risk of social exclusion). The programmes offered by the Museum are adapted to the needs of our visitors, allowing them not only to expand their knowledge of culture and art, but also to view these concepts in an unconventional way.

The main objective of all our educational activities is to facilitate interpretation of the works of art exhibited at the National Museum in Krakow. Our work is not so much about offering ready-made solutions as it is about providing the tools that are necessary to explore the world of art.
