On 28 and 29 March 2026, the Princes Czartoryski Museum in Kraków will, for the third time, become a space for chamber encounters with music of the highest artistic quality. The spring edition of the “Music at the Czartoryski” series brings together historic interiors and repertoire that, although deeply rooted in tradition, remains vibrant, relevant, and profoundly moving.
This year’s programme centres around works of exceptional spiritual and structural depth: the monumental Die Kunst der Fuge by Johann Sebastian Bach and the deeply affecting quartet The Seven Last Words of Christ on the Cross by Joseph Haydn. These two evenings will form a narrative of structure, silence, concentration, and transcendence — music that transcends both era and instrumentation.

In 2025, the musicians of Ensemble de l’Amitié recorded their first album, Forgotten Voices of Romanticism, featuring works by Polish composers including Franciszek Lessel and Bolesław Woytowicz, contributing to the revival of lesser-known repertoire from Polish Romanticism and Classicism. These recordings form part of the ensemble’s long-term mission to rediscover and promote works rarely represented in the recording catalogue. The ensemble has also taken part in numerous interdisciplinary projects combining music with theatre, visual arts, and literature, creating events of high educational and artistic value.
