Anna Frydrych Beware of the Owner AMS Poster Gallery (distribution) 20th edition of the “Animals are People Too” competition 2019 Poster

Technique: Graphics, social poster

Material: digital printing, illustration

Year of creation: 2016

Collection: Artistic activities related to social campaigns

General Description: The poster depicts a curled up dog on an intense yellow background. The dog is out, with its tail curled. Above the animal there is a black inscription “WARNING”, and below it - “BAD DOG”.

Detailed description: In the central part of the poster is a black dog. The animal is medium-sized, clearly emaciated, with protruding ribs. His head is bowed and his tail is curled up. The background has been filled with an intense yellow color. Above the figure of the dog there is an inscription “CAUTION” stretching across the entire width of the poster, and underneath it there is “EVIL DOG”. Black simple font and printed letters were used. The whole is surrounded by a thin black frame. The poster is reminiscent of warning placards placed on the gates of houses.

The Bad Pan poster by Anna Frydrych is an example of socially engaged art, which aims to draw attention to the problem of neglect and mistreatment of pets. The project was created as part of an effort to promote animal protection and campaign for responsible adoption and improved living conditions for dogs and cats in Poland.

The Evil Gentleman has won acclaim as a work that touches consciences and effectively raises public awareness of animal rights, providing an important example of the use of art in the service of education and the fight for a better world.
