I. DEFINITIONS

1. CIR – Information and Booking Centre, the museum unit responsible for receiving and handling bookings
2. Educator / Educator – an employee or associate of the Museum who conducts guided tours or educational activities as part of a bespoke offering.
3. Contact Form – an electronic form available on the Site for contacting CIR to make a booking, as part of a bespoke offer.
4. Booking form – an electronic form used to confirm the intention to make a booking at the Museum and the detailed arrangements for it. It forms the basis for accepting the booking.
5. Museum – The National Museum in Kraków, with its registered office at 1 Aleja 3 Maja, Kraków 30-062, registered in the Register of Cultural Institutions under number RIK: 25/92, Tax Identification Number (NIP): 6750004442, National Business Registry Number (REGON): 000275961
6. Bespoke offer – the Museum’s permanent offer to individual visitors and organised groups, available by booking, including tours of permanent and temporary exhibitions and educational services for specific exhibitions.
7. Group leader – the person responsible for the group during their visit to the Museum.
8. Rules –Booking Rules of the National Museum in Kraków
9. Booking – an application made by the Ordering Party for participation in services offered by the Museum, in particular educational services or sightseeing tours, including the choice of date, type of service or ticket and number of participants, confirmed by the Museum in the manner specified in these Rules, entitling to participation in a given service or admission to the Museum under the conditions indicated .
10. System Booking – a basic type of Booking, requiring the Customer to make payment within 48 hours of its notification, based on the payment link sent by the CIR, under pain of automatic cancellation of the Booking in the event of non-payment within the indicated time limit. The 48-hour period is calculated from the moment the order is created by the CIR, regardless of public holidays. Failure to make payment on time will result in the automatic cancellation of the Booking without further notice.
11. Initial booking – the first stage of the booking process: a temporary booking saved in the system until the booking details are confirmed on the booking form and a proper booking is created: a system or deferred payment booking.
12. Booking with deferred payment – a special type of booking which allows payment to be made on the day of the visit to the Museum, immediately before the visit, at the cash desk of the branch where the booking will be made, or on the basis of an invoice issued by the branch cash desk, payable after the booking has been made.
13. Website – Museum website: https://mnk.pl/
14. System – an electronic ticketing and booking system.
15. Participant – a person attending a tour or educational activity.
16. Service – an educational service provided by the Museum as part of a bespoke offer (e.g. a guided tour, museum lesson, etc.).
17. Special Event – an event organised or co-organised by the Museum, not included in the bespoke offer, for which the Museum holds bookings and/or sells tickets.
18. Ordering Party(Customer) – a person who, on behalf of himself or herself, or the institution/company he or she represents, makes a booking and makes a commitment to the Museum.
19. Order – a summary of the booking made by the CIR specifying the date, type of service, number of tickets, amount to be paid, setting out the details of the transaction.

II. PRELIMINARY PROVISIONS

1. These Rules set out the terms and conditions for the Museum’s acceptance of bookings for all its branches, with the exception of the Karol Szymanowski Museum at the ‘Atma’ villa in Zakopane.
2. The museum accepts bookings for individuals and for organised groups, according to the offer, which is published on the website.
3. The Museum informs, through a publication on the Museum website, for which events or services bookings are obligatory.
4. Bookings can only be made by an adult on his or her own behalf or on behalf of the company or institution he or she represents.
5. The submission of a booking is tantamount to the conclusion of a contract between the Museum and the individual or business entity, and consequently all arrangements and settlements and other benefits arising from this contract are binding on the contractual parties.
6. The Museum accepts bookings as part of its bespoke offer and for special events organised or co-organised by the Museum.
7. Booking rules for special events are set separately for each event and published on the website.

III. GENERAL RULES FOR ACCEPTING BOOKINGS UNDER A CUSTOMISED OFFER

1. Information on the customised offer is published on the Museum’s website.
2. Bookings are accepted up to 90 days before the planned date of the museum visit.
3. Bookings must be made at least 5 days before the planned date of the visit.
4. Bookings are accepted subject to availability.
5. Bookings can only be made by contacting the CIR:

6. At the request of the Ordering Party, the CIR creates a pre-booking in the system.
7. Once a pre-booking has been created, a link to the booking form will be sent to the Ordering Party at the email address provided.
8. The Ordering Party is obliged to confirm the initial booking by completing the online booking form within 24 hours of creating the booking and returning it by clicking on ‘Send’. Failure to confirm your booking by the above date will result in automatic cancellation of your booking.
9. The booking form must be filled in by a person of full legal age on their own behalf or on behalf of a legal person or an organisational unit without legal personality, however, if the order is placed by a legal person or an organisational unit without legal personality, the form must be filled in by a person with the right of representation or acting on the basis of a power of attorney to make declarations of intent on behalf of the legal person or the organisational unit without legal personality which they are authorised to represent.
10. Pre-bookings are only confirmed during CIR opening hours.
11. The booking form must contain all the necessary information concerning the booking and the personal data of the natural person and the data of the legal person or organisational unit without legal personality, in particular:
    • Name, surname, address, contact details of the Ordering Party: telephone, email address / name, registered office, NIP, KRS, REGON together with a declaration of consent to the processing of personal data
    • Date of visit (date and time)
    • Branch and exhibition which the Ordering Party intends to visit
    • Type of service requested
    • Language in which the service is to be provided
    • Age of group participants (if booking is for minors – children, schoolchildren)
    • Full contact details for the person placing the Order
    • Information on the accounting document requested by the Ordering Party, confirming the sale (receipt or invoice).
12. The pre-booking will be automatically cancelled if the booking form is not filled in, incomplete or contains contradictory information.
13. The Museum shall not be held liable for any incorrect or untrue data provided by the Ordering Party on the booking form, and in particular for the provision of incorrect or untrue data necessary for invoicing.
14. An e-mail will be sent to the Ordering Party who has correctly filled in the booking form to confirm the booking.
15. A correctly confirmed provisional booking will be changed in the system to a system booking or, for authorised entities only, a booking with deferred payment.

IV. SYSTEM BOOKINGS

1. For system bookings, an order is automatically created.
2. An order creation message will be sent to the Ordering Party at the e-mail address provided.
3. For system bookings, it is necessary to pay for the order within 48 hours of its creation in the system.
4. If there are less than 48 hours between the date of order creation and the start of the tour, the order must be paid for no later than 30 minutes before the tour starts.
5. The order can be paid for:
   • By following the link provided in the email about the creation of the order, via the operator with whom the Museum has an agreement for online payment processing. To pay for an order online, the following are required:
   • computer or other mobile device with a web browser and Internet accesse-mail boxbank account with Internet access
   • At the Museum cash desk, by giving the cashier the order number you received in the email about the creation of your order
6. Once the order has been paid for, the Ordering Party will receive the tickets:
   • In the case of online payments in the form of a PDF file sent to the e-mail address provided
   • In the case of payment at the Museum’s cash desk, printed by the cashier.
7. Payment resulting from one order must be made in one go.
8. The Museum accepts no liability for any consequences arising from malfunctions at the bank specified by the Ordering Party when making a payment.
9. The Museum shall not be held liable for any disruption of data transmission during purchase, interruptions or errors in the operation of the system resulting from any cause beyond the Museum’s control.
10. Failure to pay your order by the deadline will result in automatic cancellation of your booking.
11. The Museum accepts no liability for the consequences of the Ordering Party disclosing order details to third parties. Sharing your booking details with a third party carries the risk that they may use the tickets. The museum will then honor the tickets of the person who registers first.

V. BOOKINGS WITH DEFERRED PAYMENT

1. Bookings with deferred payment may be made by: local government units (JST), entities and institutions conducting educational, caring or therapeutic activities on the basis of applicable legislation, in particular schools, kindergartens, educational institutions, universities, care and educational institutions and therapeutic entities.
2. The condition for the use of the booking with deferred payment referred to in paragraph 1, is to have the status of a person having the capacity to enter into legal transactions (natural person running a business, legal person or organisational unit without legal personality, but having the capacity to enter into contracts) indicating full details of this entity to the order, such as: name, registered office, Taxpayer Identification Number (NIP), REGON, persons authorised to represent, and making a booking by a representative authorised to represent this entity or by a proxy authorised to make declarations of will and incur liabilities on behalf of this person.
3. Payments for bookings with deferred payment are made in advance of the deadline for the performance covered by the booking:
   • By cash or credit card at the branch cash desk, on the day of the booked service.
   • On the basis of an invoice issued by the box office of the relevant branch, payable after the booking has been made, within the period indicated on the invoice, by transfer to the Museum’s bank account.By transfer to the Museum’s account before the scheduled date of booking on the basis of a pro-forma invoice.
   • Through an electronic payment operator, once the order has been created for booking by the CIR. In this case, the same procedure applies as for system bookings and these bookings will be treated as system bookings from the moment the order is created.
4. The Ordering Party should state his/her intention to pay in advance by bank transfer or through an electronic payment operator when filling in the booking form.
5. If the intention is to pay by bank transfer after confirmation of the provisional booking, it is necessary to send the data necessary for the invoice, by e-mail to CIR: rezerwacja@mnk.pl. Such an application can be made no later than 5 days before the planned date of the visit to the Museum.
6. In the event that, at the request of the Ordering Party, prior payment on the basis of a pro-forma invoice is agreed, the Museum may refuse to process the booking in the absence of confirmation of receipt of the designated amount prior to the date of the visit.
7. In the case of the Princes Czartoryski Museum, bookings must be purchased or collected at the branch box office no later than 15 minutes before the booking deadline. Bookings not purchased or not collected up to 15 minutes before the start time are automatically cancelled.

VI. CHARGES

1. Prices for tickets and services are set out in the Museum’s price list. Information on all charges is published on the Museum’s website.
2. Ticket and service prices are given in Polish zloty and include VAT.
3. The Museum shall issue invoices at the request of the Ordering Party, after the Ordering Party has made such a request in advance and provided the data necessary for issuing the invoice. Invoices are issued after payment has been made.
4. In the event of a decision by the Director of the National Museum in Kraków:
   • of an increase in ticket prices, the Ordering Party shall pay the booking in accordance with the prices valid on the date of the initial booking
   • of a reduction in ticket prices, the Ordering Party shall pay for the booking:
   • in the case of payment at a branch counter in accordance with the prices applicable on a given dayin the case of payment by bank transfer, on the basis of a pro-forma invoice, at the prices applicable on the date of issue of the pro-forma invoice
   • in the case of online payments, according to the prices in force on the day the order is created

VII. GROUP SIZE

1. The rules on the permissible size of organised groups in the Museum are determined by safety considerations, conservation considerations and concern for visitor comfort.
2. The museum accepts bookings for groups of up to 30 people, with the exception of:
   • ‘European Art Gallery’ in the Main Building, where the group size cannot exceed 15 people,
   • The Princes Czartoryski Museum, where the group size cannot exceed 20 people,
   • Erazm Ciołek Bishop’s Palace, where the size of the group cannot exceed 20 people,
   • The Józef Czapski Pavilion, where the size of the group cannot exceed 20 people,
   • Jan Matejko House, where the group size cannot exceed 25 people,
   • Józef Mehoffer House, where the group size cannot exceed 25 people,
   • Stanisław Wyspiański Museum, where the group size cannot exceed 25 people.
3. The Museum reserves the right to establish separate rules regarding the permissible size of organised groups at individual Museum exhibitions.
4. The maximum number of persons specified in pt. VII.2. covers the total number of all participants / tour participants, including group leaders / city guides and / tour leaders. Exceeding the permissible number of persons in a group will result in the Museum refusing to provide the service, costs previously paid by the Ordering Party will not be refunded.
5. The number of people in the group declared by the Ordering Party must correspond to the actual number. In the event of a larger number of people turning up at the Museum, the Museum reserves the right not to allow the group to enter the exhibition in excess of the permitted limit. In this case, costs previously paid by the Ordering Party and not used for this reason shall not be reimbursed. Liability to persons who, for reasons attributable to the Ordering Party, were unable to use the tickets shall be borne by the Ordering Party.
6. In the event of a change in group size, the CIR must be informed by email. The CIR has the right to refuse changes requested by the Ordering Party if they conflict with the Museum’s current limits.
7. Seat limits for special events, organised or co-organised by the Museum, are set separately for each event.

VIII. BOOKING CANCELLATION

1. Cancellation of a booking should be notified to the CIR by e-mail at the latest one working day before the scheduled date of the visit.
2. In the case of previously unpaid deferred payment bookings for which an additional booking of an Educator  was necessary, in the absence of a cancellation notice by the deadline, the Museum shall issue the Ordering Party with a accounting note in the amount of PLN 150. The amount referred to in the first sentence constitutes a contractual penalty for damage caused to the Museum as a result of the cancellation of the service booking.
3. The contractual penalty, covered by the accounting note, must be paid by transfer to the Museum’s bank account indicated in the accounting note within 14 days of its issue.
4. Cancellations of prepaid bookings can be made up to 30 days after the booking has been paid for, but no later than 1 working day before the scheduled appointment (the date of the e-mail cancellation is decisive). Applications must be accompanied by (receipt or invoice) and state:
   • order number or booking number
   • name and surname / company name or institutione-mail address
   • telephone number
5. The Museum is obliged to respond to the case within 14 days of receipt of the application.
6. The Museum is not responsible for the provision of incorrect or false data by the Ordering Party.
7. Refunds will be made using the same method as the original payment, unless the Ordering Party specifies an alternative method of refund.
8. A customer who concludes an agreement in an off-premises or distance ticketing system, pursuant to Article 38(12) of the Consumer Rights Act of 30 May 2014 (Journal of Laws, i.e. 2024, item 1796, as amended), i.e. where the day or period of service provision is specified – is not entitled to withdraw from the agreement pursuant to the aforementioned provisions. In this situation, ticket/service refunds via the online sales system are only possible in the event of a temporary closure of the exhibition.
9. By purchasing a ticket or service, the Ordering Party declares that he/she has been informed that he/she is not entitled to withdraw from the contract and demand a refund of the value of the purchased tickets.
10. Purchased tickets/services are not exchangeable for other tickets/services or for another booking date.

IX. DELAYS

1. The Ordering Party is obliged to arrive at the Museum on time. The start time of the service is the time agreed during the booking process.
2. The waiting time for an Educator is 15 minutes, with the exception of the Princes Czartoryski Museum, for which the procedure described in point V.7 applies.
3. In the case of delay of more than 15 minutes or failure to make/receive a booking at the Princes Czartoryski Museum 15 minutes before the deadline, the Museum reserves the right not to admit the group and to charge the fee referred to in point VIII.2.
4. If a booking is paid in advance and the group is more than 15 minutes late, or 5 minutes late in the case of the Princes Czartoryski Museum, costs paid in advance by the Ordering Party are non-refundable.
5. If the group is late, the Educator has the right to shorten the service by the time the group is late.

X. PERSONAL DATA

1. The controller of personal data provided by the Ordering Party is the National Museum in Kraków.

3. The personal data of the Ordering Party will be processed for the purpose of providing the booking service, processing the order and contacting the Ordering Party.
4. To the extent permitted by law and subject to any exceptions provided for by law, the Ordering Party has the right to access the content of the data and to have it rectified, erased or restricted, as well as the right to object, to request the cessation of processing and the transfer of data, and the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority – the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
5. The provision of personal data is voluntary, but necessary to make a booking. If data is not provided, it will not be possible to complete the booking service and order.
6. Your personal data is shared with the entity providing programming and IT support services under a data processing agreement.
7. Personal data shall be made shared with the provider of electronic payment intermediation services on the basis of a concluded agreement.
8. Data provided by the Ordering Party will not be made available to third parties. The recipients of the data shall be only institutions authorised under the law.
9. The data provided by the Ordering Party will not be subject to profiling.
10. The Controller does not intend to transfer the Ordering Party’s personal data to any third country or international organisation.
11. Personal data will be stored for a period of 5 years, starting from the beginning of the year following the year in which the booking was made.
12. Personal data shall be protected and processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the movement of such data (GDPR) and in accordance with the Act of 10 May 2018 on personal data protection (uniform text in OJ 2019, item 1781, 2026, item 252).
13. Upon separate consent, the Ordering Party’s personal data may be used by the Museum for distribution of the Newsletter of the National Museum in Kraków and other publications and information containing advertisments in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the movement of such data (GDPR) and in accordance with the Act of 10 May 2018 on personal data protection (uniform text in OJ 2019, item 1781, 2026, item 252). 
14. The information notice regarding the processing of personal data will be sent to the Ordering Party at the email address provided by them, along with notifications automatically sent by the booking system.
15. The Museum accepts no liability for the consequences of the Ordering Party providing false or incorrect personal data.

XI. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS

1. The Ordering Party, acting on behalf of the group, is obliged to ensure the proper organisation of the booking participants, in particular to:
   • provide the group leader and the participants with information on the date, place and conditions of the service
   • to ensure the attendance of participants in the number and on the date declared, and to ensure that the number of participants and the start and duration of the visit are consistent with the data indicated during the booking process.
2. The Ordering Party shall be liable for any consequences resulting from a discrepancy between the declared data and the actual course of the visit, including delays or changes in the number of participants without prior notification to the Museum.
3. The Group Leader is responsible for the total supervision of the group during its stay at the Museum, the safety and behaviour of the group and is obliged to cooperate with the Educator and the Museum staff in order to maintain discipline in the group. The Group Leader must not leave the group unsupervised.
4. The Museum is not responsible for the deletion of or failure to collect e-mail notifications received by the Ordering Party.
5. The Museum accepts no responsibility for messages or data lost on the Internet for reasons beyond the Museum’s control.
6. The cost of the connection required to retrieve emails shall be borne by the Ordering Party, in accordance with their operator’s tariff.
7. During their visit to the Museum, visitors are required to comply with the Visitor Regulations of the National Museum in Kraków.
8. Should participants’ behaviour constitute a gross breach of generally accepted rules of conduct in public places and the Visitor Regulations of the National Museum in Kraków, the guide is entitled to suspend the service and Museum staff are entitled to ask them to leave the Museum premises. In such cases, any costs already paid by the Ordering Party are non-refundable.
9. The Museum reserves the right to cancel a booking in exceptional circumstances or, after consultation with the Ordering Party, to postpone it to another date.
10. The submission of a booking is tantamount to acceptance of these Rules.
11. The Museum reserves the right to amend these Rules.
12. The Rules are drawn up in two language versions: Polish and English. In the event of any discrepancy between the language versions of the Rules, the Polish language version shall prevail.
13. In matters not covered by these Rules, the provisions of law shall apply, in particular the Civil Code, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR), as well as the Civil Code and the Act of 10 May 2018 on the protection of personal data (i.e.  Journal of Laws 2019, item 1781, and 2026, item 252), and, in the case of natural persons carrying out activities not directly related to their business or professional activities, the provisions of the Act of 30 May 2014 on consumer rights (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1796, as amended), in particular pursuant to Article 38(12) of the aforementioned provisions, the right to withdraw from a contract concluded off the business premises or at a distance does not apply to the consumer in respect of contracts for the provision of cultural services.
14. Rules effective from 28 May 2026.
