Artistic journeys – Nowosielski and the avant-garde

The exhibition ‘Nowosielski. On the Centenary of the Artist’s Birth’ presents works by Jerzy Nowosielski from the collection of the MNK, including rarely shown works on paper. The selection of works reflects the artist’s interest in the search for a new formal language as well as Christian theology and mysticism. Jerzy Nowosielski, who belonged to the Second Cracow Group, was firmly embedded in the Cracow environment of avant-garde artists. During the tour, his work will be presented in the broader context of Polish art of the second half of the 20th century.
