14 września 2026

The National Museum in Kraków has been awarded the Słonecznik statuettes – prizes awarded by the Czas Dzieci website in a poll for the most developmental initiatives for children aged 0–14. The team from the National Museum in Kraków received two main prizes and one honourable mention.

In the ‘language’ category, we received a Jury’s Commendation for organising the Art of Being Together workshops, which were accepted by Marta Wojtyś-Kipiel and Jagoda Gumińska-Oleksy – coordinators of the series, supported by the National Museum in Kraków’s Patron, PGE (Polish Energy Group).

In the “nature” category, the National Museum was honoured with the Jury’s Prize and the Parents’ Prize for the Butterflies and Stalks series, which were accepted by Marta Hernik, Head of the Education Department at the National Museum in Kraków and coordinator of this year’s edition, and Małgorzata Łaciak, a representative of the Institute of Nature Conservation of the Polish Academy of Sciences, who co-led the sessions.

The workshops were held as part of the project: The MNK Czartoryski Museum – extension and refurbishment of the National Museum in Kraków branch. The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund under the ‘European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate and the Environment 2021–2027’ programme, PRIORITY VII: Culture, Area 1: Development of cultural infrastructure (listed and non-listed).

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the organisers and the parents for recognising our work. We would also like to express our gratitude to all the educators – Monika Chaberk, Magdalena Wójcik, Anna Pomykalska and Anita Chmiel – who collaborated with us on these exceptional projects.
