Asetemakhbit was a priestess of the god Amun and the wife of a priest of the god Min in Thebes. Her mummy rests in a cartonnage inside a sarcophagus decorated with depictions of gods and religious formulas recounting her journey to the afterlife. Examining this artefact provides an insight into the complex funeral ritual and its significance in Egyptian religion. The sarcophagus and cartonnage are on display in the Gallery of Ancient Art at the National Museum in Kraków in the Arsenal on Pijarska Street.
