Farewell gala for Zofia Gołubiew
On 10 December 2015, the Gallery of 19th-Century Polish Art hosted a farewell gala with the participation of Zofia Gołubiew, who is retiring from her position as the Museum Director.
During the ceremony conducted by Krzysztof Jasieński (the director of the Krakow's STU Theatre), Zofia Gołubiew, who has served as the Director of the National Museum in Krakow since 2000, was presented with as many as three awards. Jacek Krupa, the Marshal of the Małopolska Voivodeship honoured director Gołubiew with the Cross of Małopolska. The Mayor of Krakow, Professor Jacek Majchrowski awarded the Director with the 'Honoris Gratia' Medal. The last awarded distinction was the 'Plus ratio quam vis' Medal presented by the rector of the Jagiellonian University, Professor Wojciech Nowak.
