DETAILS ABOUT VISITING OF STANISŁAW WYSPIAŃSKI MUSEUM BY PEOPLE WITH SPECTRUM AUTISM DISORDER

Information for visitors with special sensory needs.
How to book a visit?
Stanisław Wyspiański was an artist of exceptional sensitivity, his work is very diverse. Sketches created with pencil or pastel are very delicate and made on paper. Due to their safety and fragility, the museum is open only a few days a week. Thanks to this exception to showing the artwork for limited hours, they are not illuminated for too long. This restriction helps to protect the paintings and prolong their existence. The policy of Wyspianski Museum requires planning the visit and the number of visitors.

On the one hand, The National Museum in Krakow cares about exhibited artworks and guests! To provide the best quality of safety and accessibility, we request you to contact us and book your appointment individually. We encourage you to contact us by email:

reservation: rezerwacja@mnk.pl;

special disability needs: dostepnosc@mnk.pl

At your disposal, there are specially trained staff members are available to assist you during the visit. A sensory basket for people with ASD is available at the gallery box office. The set of items will help with sensory stimulation while visiting the exhibition.

We hope that provided amenities will be helpful for you. And that your stay at Wyspianski Museum will be in an excellent and pleasant atmosphere.

After your visit to the MNK branch, we would very much appreciate your email and feedback on your impressions. What did you find helpful during your visit? How else can we improve the accessibility of a particular branch? Thank you very much for your feedback!

The coordinator of this area is Beata Cichy from the Accessibility Section of the National Museum in Krakow. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by e-mail: bcichy@mnk.pl

What can be found in the MNK's sensory baskets? SENSORY BASKET - details

The sensory basket was prepared by the Museum as part of the international Spectrum Project. People with ASD may be more sensitive or need an additional sensation to stimuli such as sound, light, smell, or touch. The objects in the basket help to calm down and concentrate on sightseeing by assisting with the stimulus experience.
