Rules and Regulations


The Rules and Regulations of the online shop of the National Museum in Krakow determine the scope and conditions for the sale of products by the Museum based in Krakow at al. 3 Maja 1, 30-062 Krakow, entered in the register of cultural institutions maintained by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage under number RIK 25/92, NIP: 675-000-44-42, REGON: 000275961, hereinafter referred to as "Seller" via the Shop available at

The Seller functions as the Administrator of the Customer's personal data processed in connection with the sale carried out in the Shop.

Terms used in the Rules and Regulations mean:

Buyer: a person registered and logged into the Museum website, who follows the procedure for making a purchase in the shop and accepts its rules and regulations.

Shop: online shop operating via the website at:, telephone contact with the Sales Department available at +48 12 433 55 94, +48 12 433 57 26 on weekdays from 8.00 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Order: the total amount of goods placed in the Basket by the Buyer
Weekdays: days from Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays

§ 1. General information
1. Prices quoted in our shop are gross prices (including VAT). The price of each product is binding at the time of placing an Order by the Customer. We reserve the right to change the prices of goods on offer, cancel special offers advertised on the shop website and to make changes.
2. The displayed prices do not include delivery costs or any other possible costs associated with completing the transaction. The transactions are documented with a VAT invoice.

4. The Buyer can choose the following forms of payment for ordered goods:
- Prepayment into an account – the Customer pays for the products before they are dispatched via bank transfer to the following bank account: 97 1130 1150 0012 1268 8420 0001
- Collection in person in the Sales Department – 0 pln on weekdays (9 a.m. for prepaid products and 12 – 3 p.m. for payment on delivery)
- Dotpay online payment – 0 pln
5. The order must include full billing address and mailing address if it is different than the one on the invoice.
6. The transfer should include the name of the purchased product if the order is placed by telephone or by e-mail, or order number if the order is placed via the Online Shop.
7. Should the Buyer select bank transfer (prepayment to account) as a form of payment for the order, the product will be dispatched by the Shop after receiving confirmation of payment from the bank or the Dotpay system.
8. To place an order with international shipment, please contact the Shop by email or telephone.
9. Placing an order implies acceptance of the Rules and Regulations.

§ 2. Personal data protection
1. The purchase of the ordered Products in the Shop by the Buyers is possible after providing the Buyers' personal data in the registration form and after a voluntary confirmation by the Buyers (by ticking the appropriate checkbox) their consent to process their personal data and place it in the database by the Seller to the extent necessary to carry out the sale and service it via the Shop, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act of 29 August 1997 (Journal of Laws No. 133, item 883, as amended.) ("Registration").
2. Providing personal data by the Buyer and the permission to process it are voluntary but necessary for completing the order by the Seller. If the Buyers grants separate consent, their personal data will be processed and placed in the database also for marketing purposes. The Buyer is responsible for providing the correct personal data.
3. The Seller reserves the right to refuse the completion or to cancel the order for the Product if the Buyer provided incorrect information in the registration form, or if this information raises legitimate objections of Seller regarding its correctness. In such case, the Buyer will be notified by telephone or e-mail about the reasons for cancellation of the order. In such situation, the Buyer has the right to clarify all circumstances related to the verification of the accuracy of the provided data and the cancellation of the order. In the absence of data allowing the Seller to contact the Buyer, the Seller will provide any explanations after being contacted by the Buyer.
4. All Buyers have the right to inspect their data, and demand the opportunity to amend, update, correct and temporarily or permanently suspend its processing or to remove it. Transfer of personal data by the Buyer to the Seller is voluntary, but lack of consent to its processing prevents the completion of orders by the Shop.

§ 3. Purchases
1. The purchase can be made via the Shop main website by selecting the “Buy as a guest” or “Log in or create an account if you make frequent purchases” and completing the form containing the Buyer's data.
2. The Buyer assumes full responsibility for all transactions that were made using the login and password, unless the information about login or password has been disclosed to a third party through no fault of the Buyer. The Seller agrees to exert all efforts to secure the login name and password from disclosure. The Buyer agrees to exert all efforts to secure the login name and password from disclosure.
3. The Seller is not responsible for the transfer of the login and password by the Buyer to a third party. In the event of termination, modification or deletion of the e-mail account specified by the Buyer upon Registration, the Buyer shall notify the Seller.
The Buyer declares that all data provided in order to complete the order is true, and the Seller shall not be obliged to verify its authenticity.
In order to delete the account, the Buyer should contact the Seller.

§ 4. Placing orders
1. Orders may be submitted only by Buyers who have successfully registered in accordance with § 3 of these Rules and Regulations.
Placing the order is understood as carrying out by the Customer all of the following:
- making a purchase without logging in, logging in to the previously registered Buyer's account or registering;
- providing truthful personal information required in the form unless it was given at registration;
- confirmation (by ticking the selected checkbox) of the consent to process personal data entered in the form;
- selection of product(s) and placing it/them in the basket;
- selection of the method of payment and the method of delivery or pickup of the Product/s;
2. Only properly placed orders will be processed. A properly placed order means providing by the Buyer all the necessary data in the order form and following the steps described in the Rules and Regulations. This data will allow for the completion and delivery of the order as well as issuing a VAT invoice or another fiscal document. The client can make changes until the moment of issuing the invoice after prior notification by telephone or email. The Buyer receives proof of payment in the form of a VAT invoice. If the invoice is to be issued for a company, its full name, company details and NIP number must be provided.

§ 5. Deliveries
The Seller delivers the ordered products at the expense of the Customer via Poczta Polska (Polish Post). The Buyer can also personally pick up the purchased item at the seat of the Museum. The cost of delivery by Polish post is 10 pln. The approximate delivery time is 3 working days.
Payment for the ordered products can be made by the Customer prior to delivery of the Products to the Customer – through bank transfer or cash on delivery.
The costs of product delivery, time, and methods of payment are stipulated in “Payment and delivery” section available on the Shop website.

§ 6. Termination of a contract
1. In accordance with the Consumer Rights Act of 30 May 2014, the Buyer as a natural person who is making a purchase not directly associated with a professional or commercial activity, may withdraw from the contract without providing a reason by submitting a written statement (personally signed by the Buyer) within 14 days from the date of delivery of the purchased product.
The Buyer and the Seller shall be obliged to reimburse each other their unaltered contributions unless a change was necessary in the scope of ordinary management. The reimbursement should be made immediately, but no later than within 14 days.
2. The returned products must be mailed back to the Shop at the following address: Sklep internetowy, al. 3 Maja 1. 30-062 Kraków. The returned products must be accompanied by a declaration of termination of the remote sales contract (hereinafter referred to as “Declaration”), unless it was sent to the Seller earlier, prior to the expiry of the deadlines referred to in paragraph 23.
3. The buyer is required to provide the Seller with a complete Product or Products in an unaltered state unless a change was necessary in the scope of ordinary management no later than within 14 days from the date of the termination of contract.
4. The cost of returning the Product to the Seller in connection with the termination of contract referred to in paragraph 23 a) is covered by the Buyer. The Seller will not accept COD shipments. The cost of returning the Product is not refundable.
5. In the case of an effective termination of contract, the return of the Product will be accepted, and no later than within 14 days the Buyer will receive a refund of the amount paid for the order in question.

§ 7. Contact with the Shop
The Online Shop Customer Service is available from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at +48 12 433 55 94, +48 12 433 57 26. The connection fee depends on the rates of the telecom operator sevicing the call made by the Customer. Questions may also be sent to the e-mail address: kontakt@ or via the Online Shop website upon registering and logging into the Customer's account.

§ 8. Complaints
1. The Seller shall be liable to the Buyer who is a natural person making the purchase not directly associated with a professional or commercial activity for nonconformity of goods purchase by the Buyer with the contract to the extent specified by the Customer Rights Act of 30 May 2014 (Journal of Laws 2014, item 827).
2. The Buyer has the right to report nonconformity of the Product with the contract (“Complaint”) if the product is inconsistent with the contract in accordance with the Act of 23 April 1964 (Journal of Laws No. 16, item 93, as amended.) Civil Code and Consumer Rights Act of 30 May 2014 (Journal of Laws 2014, item 827).
When making a Complaint, the Consumer should send the Product to the Shop at the following address: Sklep internetowy, al. 3 Maja 1. 30-062 Kraków, together with a copy of the receipt or VAT invoice and a completed complaint form.
3. The Complaints will be processed no later than within 14 days from the date of receipt of the product by the Seller.
4. The Seller is responsible for nonconformity of the Product with the contract only if it is reported before the expiry of two years from the date of the hand-over of the Product to the Customer.
5. The Buyers lose the right to have the Product brought into conformity with the contract if they fail to notify the Seller within two months since the determination of the nonconformity of the Product with the contract.

§ 9. Final provisions
1. The Seller reserves the right to introduce and cancel offers, special deals and changes in product prices in the Shop without prejudice to the rights accrued by the Customer, including in particular the conditions of sales contracts concluded before the change.
2. To all matters not settled herein, appropriate provisions of the law shall respectively apply, including in particular the provisions of the Act of 23 April 1964 (Journal of Laws No. 16, item 93, as amended.) Civil Code and the Consumer Rights Act of 30 May 2014 (Journal of Laws 2014, item 827).
3. These Rules and Regulations shall not exclude or restrict any rights of the Customers who are consumers which they are entitled to under the mandatory provisions of law. In case of conflict between the provisions of these Rules and Regulations and the mandatory provisions of law granting rights to consumers, priority is given to the latter.
4. These Rules and Regulations shall apply from 25 December 2014.
