  The treasures. The Princes Czartoryski Collection

  The exhibition presents a selection of the most valuable works of art and historical items from the collection of the Czartoryski family. The collection’s history can be traced back to 1801, when Princess Izabela Czartoryska established the first Polish museum in Puławy. After the November Uprising (1830–1831), the collection was moved across the border to Paris.

  Art of the Polish Legions

  On 18 March 1916 the first great Polish exhibition of legionary art, organized by Jerzy Mycielski, was opened in the rooms of the Krakow Society of Friends of Fine Arts. More than 500 works by artists serving in the Polish Legions and those supporting the Legions’ Cause with their art were shown. Originally scheduled to last a month, the exhibition was such a great success that it was extended until the middle of May 1916.

  From Japan to Europe. Beautiful and Useful Objects

  The exhibition titled "Long Live Art! Feliks Jasieński's Collection. From Japan to Europe. Beautiful and Useful Objects", displayed in the Szołayski House, features a wide selection of exhibits from the priceless collection of Feliks "Manggha" Jasieński. We present the person of the prominent Krakow collector, patriot, art patron and a friend of the artists – masters from the Young Poland movement. Not only can the visitors admire paintings, sculptures and prints, but they can also see ceramics, textiles, furniture and militaria from that period.

  The Emeryk Hutten-Czapski Collection

  The impressive collection accumulated by Emeryk Hutten-Czapski (1828–1896) consists mainly of unique numismatic objects: coins, bank notes and medals. This eminent scholar, collector and bibliophile also left an interesting collection of prints, militaria, textiles, badges, pottery, jewelry, gems, and glass as well as a vast library.
