To mark the closing of the exhibition, on 2 October at 6 p.m., the Gallery of 19th-Century Polish Art in the Sukiennice will host a concert of SINFONIETTA CRACOVIA – Orchestra of the Royal Capital City of Krakow.
The programme will feature:
Johann Sebastian Bach – Air on the G String from Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D major, BWV 1068
Johann Sebastian Bach – Orchestral Suite No. 2 in B minor BWV 1067
Henryk Mikolaj Górecki – Three Pieces in Old Style
Krzysztof Penderecki – Chaconne in memoria del Giovanni Paolo II from the Polish Requiem
Artists: Walter Auer – flute Sinfonietta Cracovia Orchestra of the Royal Capital City of Krakow Introduction – Dr Małgorzata Janicka Słysz
Walter Auer – a prominent Austrian flutist, soloist of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra & Vienna State Opera.
