The National Museum in Krak\u00f3w\u2019s collection of ancient pottery includes Greek kylixes \u2013 wide, shallow bowls used for drinking wine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The kylix type B is the most popular form decorated in the red-figure style, although it was introduced into the repertoire of black-figure vase types as early as the late 6th century BC. These kylixes stood out from other vases for their greater elegance, thanks to their flowing profile and proportions. The decoration covered the outer walls of the vessel and the medallion on the inside, and was executed by master painters such as Onesimos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
