Four concert evenings will bring together outstanding artists and young musicians who are among the most intriguing figures of their generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme for this year\u2019s edition takes the audience on a journey through nearly three centuries of musical history \u2013 from Mozart, Bach and Dvo\u0159\u00e1k, through Chopin, Wieniawski and Szymanowski, to Ravel, Rebecca Clarke and Kelly-Marie Murphy. Polish music occupies a special place, presented both in its canonical works and in pieces that are less frequently performed, rediscovered by contemporary artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The festival\u2019s finale will feature cellist B\u0142a\u017cej Goli\u0144ski, who, together with pianist Micha\u0142 Mossakowski, will present a programme devoted to Polish chamber music, including works by J\u00f3zef Wieniawski and Szymon Laks, as well as original arrangements of songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Goli\u0144ski \/ Mossakowski Duo<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>B\u0142a\u017cej Goli\u0144ski \u2013 cello<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Micha\u0142 Mossakowski \u2013 piano<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Programme:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>J\u00f3zef Wieniawski \u2013 <em>Sonata in E major<\/em>, Op. 26, for cello and piano<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>J\u00f3zef Wieniawski \u2013 <em>Songs Without Words<\/em> \u2013 (a selection in original arrangements for cello and piano)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Szymon Laks \u2013 selected works<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Marek Czerniewicz \u2013 selected works<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maurice Ravel \u2013 selected works<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>B\u0142a\u017cej Goli\u0144ski \u2013 cello<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">B\u0142a\u017cej Goli\u0144ski graduated with honours from the Stanis\u0142aw Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gda\u0144sk, where he studied under Prof. Roman Suchecki. He honed his skills during masterclasses led by eminent cellists, including Misha Maisky, Ivan Monighetti, Victoria Yagling, Angelika May and Roman Jab\u0142o\u0144ski.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He maintains a busy concert schedule as both a soloist and a chamber musician. He has performed at the Witold Lutos\u0142awski Forum at the National Philharmonic, the Gda\u0144sk Chamber Music Festival, and numerous prestigious festivals in Poland and abroad. He has collaborated with outstanding musicians, including Jan Stanienda, Mirel Jankovic, Robert Kabara and Marek Toporowski.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Between 2001 and 2005, he was concertmaster of the cello section of Sinfonietta Cracovia, with whom he performed at major European and American festivals. Since 2004, he has been associated with the Fryderyk Chopin Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gda\u0144sk, where he has served as concertmaster of the cello section since 2009. He is also an assistant professor at the Stanis\u0142aw Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gda\u0144sk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Polish music holds a special place in his career. He is a graduate of the Paris Conservatoire and the Stanis\u0142aw Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gda\u0144sk, where he has also been teaching since 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He maintains a busy concert schedule as both a soloist and chamber musician. He has performed in most European countries, as well as in China and the United States. In 2019, he made his debut at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, performing Robert Schumann\u2019s Piano Concerto in A minor, and in Paris, performing Maurice Ravel\u2019s Piano Concerto in G major. He has also given recitals at venues including the Mozarteum in Salzburg and Carnegie Hall in New York, collaborating with numerous orchestras and distinguished conductors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He is a laureate of numerous national and international piano competitions, having won prizes in Malm\u00f6, Warsaw, Salzburg, New York, Hartford, Mari\u00e1nsk\u00e9 L\u00e1zn\u011b, Livorno and Paris, amongst others.
