However, this is the first instance in which a miscast denarius has been identified in the region. Even more remarkably, its metal composition closely matches that of official Roman issues. Additional numismatic finds could indicate a local coin production in the area, including several cast denarii and imitations of antoniniani. These exhibit die-linked parallels, particularly with material from the nearby site of T\u00f3szeg, Sapi-halom.
