Cooperation with Universities
The Education Section of the National Museum in Krakow cooperates with universities on a variety of projects, meetings, workshops and training courses.
We develop education projects and programmes in cooperation with the following universities:
With the help of the Institute of History of the Pedagogical University of Krakow, an educational workshop was held on 17 October 2014 at the Sukiennice Gallery of 19th-Century Polish Art and the Jan Matejko House as part of the international scientific conference “W kręgu rodziny epok dawnych - rytmy życia, rytmy codzienności: KOBIETA I MĘŻCZYZNA– DWA ŚWIATY, JEDNA PRZESTRZEŃ" [The Family in Former Times – Rhythms of Everyday Life: MAN AND WOMAN. TWO WORLDS, ONE SPACE]. The event programme included a lecture by Prof. Marek Wilczyński, PhD, entitled "Kobieta i mężczyzna w okresie starożytnym - światy komplementarne" [Man and Woman in Antiquity: Complementary Worlds], a lecture by Łukasz Olesiak on "Multimedia, motywacja, metodyka w nauczaniu historii" [Multimedia, Motivation and Methods in History Teaching] and a workshop called “Piekło życia i zaczarowany zamek: XIX-wieczny model małżeństwa i rodziny na przykładzie domu Jana i Teodory Matejków" [The Hell of Life and the Enchanted Castle: The House of Jan and Teodora Matejko as an Example of the 19th-Century Model of Marriage and Family] , led by Jagoda Gumińska from the Education Section of MNK (at the Jan Matejko House).
